Bloggy Network merges with Blog Flux

Blog Network Bloggy Network has merged with blog services portal Blog Flux:

We have merged with Blog Flux, a major blog services portal. The combined websites will still use the Bloggy Network name.

Let me tell you a little bit about how the deal came about.

My and my friend Ahmed Farooq had known each other for a couple of years. We never really collaborated on a project together until several months ago. That project was Blog Top Sites. This was really just about his first foray into blogging. For the record, Blog Top Sites has now tracked over 100,000,000 visitors and delivered almost 1,000,000 visitors to people’s sites.

The more I ranted and raved about the power of blogging to him, the more he liked the idea of blogging. Soon after we started BTS he started creating Blog Flux. We started talking a little playful trash to each other back and forth and back and forth between my network of blogging sites and his portal. And as we exchanged conversations, it became apparent that we had the same goal. So why be split when working together makes things so much easier?

New Stuff coming from 9rules

Mike Rundle, Chief Design Officer at 9rules writes about some upcoming plans from the 9rules group:

The guys and I at 9rules have been laying low the past week or so, and when that happens you can usually guess that something big is coming soon :) Our Network has an extremely high concentration of great web designers and developers, so when we all put our minds together we can come up with some cool stuff. Soon we’ll be launching a few new applications/services that will reside outside the 9rules.com website, with our members at their helm. These will be the first of a few member collaborations that have been in the works for awhile now, so we’re psyched to finally move forward. Hint: 9____.com and 9_________.org :)

Our sources tell us that the two new projects are 9friends and 9charities, but our sources have been known to be wrong before.
