Syntagma Media has turned one year old:

When I started Syntagma Media one year ago, I thought we would probably still be in business after 12 months, but that there was a 49pc chance we might not be.

It’s now one day after our first birthday and we’re still here — bloodied but not bowed.

Shiny Media has launched Brandish:

Brandish, Shiny Media’s new site dedicated to The Coolest Stuff in the World for blokes is now live and kicking. It’ll feature must-have gadgets, fashion that won’t make you look like a metrosexual arsehead, illegally fast cars, fine Cuban cigars, that sort of thing.

Only the best stuff gets in – Brandish is like an exclusive gentlemen’s club, but without the high-backed, red leather chairs, smug ex-Eton schoolboys and extortionate membership fees.

Shiny Media has teamed up with Hecklespray:

We have always been huge fans of Hecklerspray – in our eyes the best British ents blog – so we are very pleased to announce that the two of us have teamed up.

Basically Hecklerspray has joined the Shiny stable which means we sell ads for them and work together on new projects.

In August’s Shiny’s 24 blogs attracted 1.4 million unique visitors. Hecklerspray grabbed 500,000, so between us we are pulling in 1.9 million uniques per month.

Binary Joy has joined 9rules:

I tend to get carried away, and that’s why if you’re lucky enough to read one of my essays immediately after it’s been posted (usually late at night you’ll see a number of grammer errors and inconclusive thoughts, as well taglines and quotes that sometimes lack some sizzle.

Well, that happens because I only write about stuff that gets me excited, and when I get something in my head that excites me, I just can’t wait to share it with anyone and everyone.
