This is somewhat out-of-date, as this actually happened earlier this year (April to be exact). But we haven’t covered this development on Blog Network Watch yet, and it seems just right to do so. While traditional media has been viewed as anti-blogging one time or another, it feels heartwarming to see established news and media outfits embracing this new medium. Not only is BBC taking advantage of blogging as medium that complements its existing news reportage, the UK’s largest news network actually started consolidating its blogs under the banner of the BBC Blog Network.

Although we have had blogs for a number of years, most notably our Scottish community site; Island Blogging and the excellent Ouch, this is the first attempt at bringing you a complete list, some news of new launches by journalists, DJs, and radio shows, as well as links and tips to help you find your way around.

This looks like an interesting mix, with the presence of established media personalities (whether in print, TV or even radio) as authors of blogs.
